Rebates and Programs

Landscape Transformation Program, starting at $2/ sq ft - while funding lasts. 

Turf Rebate Eligibility:
  • A maximum of 5,000 square feet of turf removed effective July 1, 2019.
  • Have a minimum of 250 square feet of turf removed, or if the entire property is less than 250 square feet, all turf must be removed.
  • Not include any live turf, or turf-looking grasses.
  • There is a limit of one (1) application per home per year. 
  • Areas which have already had turf removed are not eligible.
  • Artificial turf is not permitted.

Outdoor Devices 
 Rebate eligibility is dependent on qualifying devices; check the qualifying devices list prior to purchasing your device. For qualifying devices, more information, and to apply online, visit SoCal WaterSmart or call 888-376-3314.

*All applications for the residential rebate programs must be completed through the SoCal WaterSmart online system. No paper applications are available.

Small Site Controller Upgrade Program

 

(Eligible for customers with .24 acre property or less): 

This program provides an opportunity to replace your old sprinkler timer with a new, water efficient device, installed by a landscape professional. To participate, you MUST attend a mandatory workshop to receive training on your new controller.

Large Landscape Retrofit Program 

(Eligible for customers with .25 acre property or more): 

This program provides customers with larger properties an outdoor water use evaluation and free installation of a new weather-based irrigation controller and high efficiency sprinkler nozzles. No workshop required.

 Pressure Regulator Valve Program (Eligible for customers with high indoor water pressure):

This program is offered to assist customers with high indoor water pressure. Includes pressure test and repair or replacement of an existing PRV. 

Please note: This is NOT an emergency PRV replacement program. 


Business and Commercial Customers


Business and Commercial customers of CVWD can participate in the regional rebate program, administered through SoCal WaterSmart, which provides incentives for water saving devices. Or visit the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) website for rebate details.
